The three‑day visit was organised to deepen and consolidate cooperation between the Italian company and its Latin American dealers. From 2 to 4 March, the importers had the opportunity to visit Argo Tractors’ plants in the province of Reggio Emilia, Italy: in Fabbrico (the headquarters in the heart of the Motor Valley), in San Martino in Rio, and in Campagnola. The latter is a recently established plant where transaxles are produced.
“Welcoming our partners from Central and South American markets to Italy was an excellent opportunity to showcase and share the latest investments made in the Group’s plants, both in terms of product range and cutting‑edge production processes”, commented Simeone Morra, Argo Tractors Business Corporate Director. “Our company has long‑standing relationships with importers in these markets, and in some of them we have been operating for as long as 40 years. However, the most rewarding achievement is that this business is expanding; in fact, we have recently entered into a new partnership in Colombia. Our mission is to support farmers in boosting productivity, while helping distributors grow their business with integrated business solutions backed by dedicated technical and after‑sales support. We are active in the specialised sector – winegrowing, fruit and vegetable production, and oil‑palm cultivation – and our McCormick tractors have an excellent reputation”.
The dealers toured the production lines and, together with the Product Marketing team, took an in‑depth look at technical and commercial topics, both in the classroom and on a dedicated test track.
In Campagnola, they attended a session with the Argo Tractors Service Department to share best practices for improving product quality.
Argo Parts presented its logistics centre (a hub capable of handling more than 600,000 order lines per year), supported by an outstanding distribution network that has been further strengthened by a recent partnership with TVH.
“I am delighted with this event dedicated to our Latin American dealer network, a chance to showcase our products, our company and the passion with which our tractors are built. It also allows us to prepare for the challenges that await us in 2026”, stated Juan Franco Bussa, LATAM Argo Tractors Commercial Director.
“Argo Tractors has always been committed to designing high‑quality products for the Latin American market, which has its own specific conditions and requirements”, added Simeone Morra.
“We manufacture tractors that can be configured to meet the needs of specific crops, such as sugar cane and vegetables. Drawing on the experience of both the company and our sales network, we can offer high‑quality products that effectively meet the needs of customers in Central and South America”.
“We are also rapidly expanding our presence in the livestock sector and in the increasingly important open‑field crops segment in this part of the world”, Morra concluded. “In fact, we are investing heavily in digital solutions to help farmers be more productive in the field with tractors rated at more than 150hp. We have also introduced our 340‑horsepower X8.634 VT‑Drive tractor, which will become part of the flagship McCormick range”.
