Argo Tractors, the international manufacturer of McCormick tractors, recently welcomed a delegation of dealers from Turkey for a two-day visit to the Group’s factories, all located in the province of Reggio Emilia, Italy offering comprehensive insights into the company’s manufacturing and technological core.
The programme included visits to the various plants in San Martino in Rio, Campagnola Emilia and Fabbrico, where participants were able to observe the entire production process first hand: from component machining and tractor assembly to the production of transmissions and cabs, right through to spare parts logistics and test-drive.
This experience allowed the dealers to gain a full appreciation for Argo Tractors’ distinctive industrial model, based on an integrated network of plants concentrated in the mechatronics district of Emilia’s Motorvalley and on a high degree of product customisation. They were welcomed and accompanied by Alberto Morra, Managing Director of Argo Tractors, Franco Artoni, Director of Corporate Business, and Mirco Candiani, Head of Product.
“We were given a first-hand look at a unique production system capable of integrating multiple plants and managing key components in-house, such as cabs, transmissions and axles,” said Recep Tasci, General Manager of Argo Tractors Turkey. “Our partners were particularly impressed by the ability to produce highly customised tractors, with each product built with a unique DNA to meet the customer’s specific requirements. It's a truly distinctive level of flexibility and innovation. It's clear that Argo Tractors doesn't just assemble tractors: they're a true manufacturer.”
The visit also provided an opportunity to update participants on future strategies and new McCormick high-power tractor ranges, reaffirming the company’s strong commitment to research and development and continuous technological innovation.
“We're currently operating in a complex and constantly evolving market environment, which in recent years has required targeted strategic decisions and a strong capacity to adapt,” said Alberto Morra. “In this scenario, Argo Tractors has maintained a long-term vision, continuing to invest in innovation, product development and the strengthening of its industrial processes. The path that we've followed from 2020 to the present has led to steady growth, bearing witness to the robustness of our approach and the trust that customers and partners continue to place in us. These results are owed to the commitment of our people and the quality of our distribution network.”
Referring to the Turkish market, Morra added:
“This market represents an area of great strategic importance for us; it is dynamic, with significant prospects for development, and we will continue to invest in it to consolidate our presence and further strengthen our brands' positioning. We look to the future with determination, aware that competitiveness is built through innovation, quality and customer focus. We're working alongside our partners to address the challenges facing the sector and seize the opportunities offered by the international markets, contributing to the development of a more modern, efficient and sustainable agricultural sector.”
Through initiatives such as this, Argo Tractors is strengthening its relationship with its international network, promoting a direct understanding of the Group's distinctive production processes and industrial value.
